Any Youth Shooting Groups

I have many many years of Precision Shooting Magazines I would like to give to a youth shooting organization free of charge and yes I will pay the shipping as well.
They are geared mainly to 22 and up bolt guns that are extremely accurate.
If you know of a group or organization that would actually use them let me know.
I also have another 40+ books on guns and hunting I will throw in as well.

I took my son on an Appleseed shoot, it was the best decision I could have made. Opened his mind up a little on gun control. I strongly suggest you fathers try to do that. One weekend and its pretty cool for sure. At least before the kids get older than 17 if you can, since after that they become smarter then you are LOL.

4H shooting sports are still active. A number of high schools around Sacramento have Trap shooting teams. Boy Scout shooting sports are doing well, at Troop, Council, and National level; one of the most popular parts of summer camp is rifle, shotgun, and archery.

A lot of kids participate in the Appleseed shoots too.

California Waterfowl runs youth camps, hunter safety camps, you waterfowl hunts.

That's just to name a few...

What rock are you living under? Get out from under it and go support youth shooting sports. Pass it on to the next generation.

Appleseed is awesome! I have taken my son, and a couple friends kids; they loved it.

4H shootings is great too. So are the BSA merit badges for rifle, shotgun and archery.

Check your local Boy Scout council. There are some Venturing Crews that are setup specifically as "Shooting Crews".

I'm in Sacramento area so my experience is from that area.

Boy Scouts - Contact local Council office. Shooting sports happen at Troop(rifle, shotgun, archery, black powder rifle), Crew(pistol, rifle, archery, shotgun, black powder rifle), and camp events(rifle, shotgun, black powder rifle, archery).

4H - Contact local chapter. I know Sac Valley Shooting Center has a couple of 4H groups that shoot there

Appleseed - See Appleseed forum on this site. Appleseed caters to all ages of shooters, but does get a lot of youth

Local Range - In Sacramento area, Sac Valley, Lincoln, Eldorado Rod and Gun, and Coon Creek offer youth shooting activities

CWA - California Waterfowl offers youth hunter safety, shooting camps, youth waterfowl hunts.

CA DFG - CA DFG sponsor youth hunts. When I took my son to a CA DFG youth pheasant hunt they used a number of volunteers to help, including folks with bird dogs.

National Wild Turkey Foundation - NTWF has youth shooting and hunting

Just about every range that's supported by individual Clubs have Youth Shooting programs, doing indoor air-rifle, .22 pistol and rifle as well as Jr Trap Leagues.

As Milo mentioned the Grizzlies Jr Service Rifle team REGULARLY beats the best teams in the Country at Camp Perry every Summer.

Enough people crap on CA, we don't need residents doing it, too. Our shooting community is large and organized.

There are several "Youth Shooting Groups" in places like Compton, South L.A., Long Beach, Watts. Don't know if you'd want to join them though, but they have lots of guns.
