Newbie needs help on ballistic/Mil

Hi guys, I am new to bolt gun and my new rifle is Savage 10 Stealth in 308. I hand loaded 50 rds, 168 gr, to zero at 100 yards. My scope is vortex HST 4-16x44 in Mil.

My friend will bring the group to shoot at 600 yards this weekend. Big learning lesson for me!

I download a ballistic chart for for 168gr load (see attached pic). Based on the chat, i.e. 500 yards, 3.5mil. My scope is 0.1 mil per click. Does it means I need 7 clicks at 500 yards? (0.1x7x5=3.5)

3.5 mil at 0.1 mil per click is 35 clicks (3.5/0.1).

Your turrets should have little hash marks every 0.1 MIL, a little longer hash mark at 0.5 and then a long mark with a number at every full MIL increment. To dial your turret to 3.5 MIL, you don't count clicks, you just rotate the turret to the number 3 and then past it to the desired 0.1 hash mark, in this case the 0.5 hash mark.
