Good information on the restrictive laws coming

Since not everyone frequents the legal subforums I thought I'd post this here: a link to webinars the CRPA put out explaining the real effects of what's been passed, proposed and rejected, affecting firearms and ammunition.

Might be too late to change things but it's never too late to be informed.

It's amazing how informed we are as gun owners and how ignorant the anti-gun crowd is...99% of them don't even know that ARs are outlawed for sale and that you need a permit for buying ammo. Meanwhile they perpetuate the blaming guns for all the world's problems and advocate for even more gun legislation. *sigh*. I can't wait for 2020 when all rifles including bolt-guns will be outlawed, 2030 when all handguns are outlawed, followed by any others that fell through the "cracks and loopholes" in the law come 2040. Everyone make sure you stay up to date on these laws so are sure to obey your masters when the time comes to turn your dangerous weapons over to the state!

Well, I wouldn't say that ARs are outlawed. Yet. The shops are stocking "featureless" ARs now. Same gun. Only big change is the weird grip.

But a lot of people do say "ARs are illegal now." Even gun people. In fact you just implied it. It's like a lot of people thinking that the 1994 "Assault Weapons Ban" banned assault weapons. Didn't do anything of the sort. Just made a small physical restriction on what could be sold.

I didn't say outlawed for ownership, but outlawed for sale. It's a moot point though, because California will probably outlaw 'em for ownership next year, including the kind with the "weird grip." Magazine-fed bolt guns will follow in due course.

They tried that awhile back - dangerous sniper rifles. Then they figured out semi-autos were easier to go after, with the help of Patrick Purdy.
