Hi All,
*Before I get into this, I have zero affiliation with this company, other than a consumer.* I recently got my scope in for my hunting rifle and finally got it mounted. This rifle has taken quite a while to get together, and now it's finally time to hit the range to zero it, assuming I can find the time before deer season. I was missing something small though. My stock is rather slick, and I found my cheek sliding around. I was initially going to use a piece of the rubber from Talon grips I had, but it felt weird. I had a small square from an order I was going to test with some base pads, but ended up ordering pieces for a different base pad and cut them to fit, much easier. Long story short, I cam across this thing:
I was leery at first, thinking it would add weight and make the rifle a bit tacticool for my hunting needs, but it is the bee's knees fo' sho. It fits perfectly with the adjustable cheek piece on my stock, stops the sliding around, and gives me a nice comfy/soft feeling when shouldering the rifle quickly. I gotta say, I'm impressed.
Along with cheek piece, I ordered their two round holder, and some QD 1 inch swivel studs. I ordered the stock with QD cups instead of the traditional sling studs only because I thought I would use my padded Magpul sling, but it proved to be too awkward (and tactical) and put my muzzle closer to the ground than I thought it would. I picked up a fancy new leather sling, and needed a way to mount it. My rifle has a detachable magazine, but it's become evident to me that I can't do it quickly, so the two rounds hanging next to the chamber are more than welcomed weight.
Anyway, The whole point of this is to say how happy I am with this company. They offered small, unique solutions to my first-world problems. They were kind enough to include a tee-shirt at no additional charge. The items came quick, prices are fair, and they have a cool logo. From what I gather, they are geared more towards PRS match shooters and such, but it can't hurt to check out their stuff regardless of what you shoot. If you haven't seen their site, I suggest you take a look, you might find something.
