    My Unicorn Finally Arrived...

Yeah, sorry. It's just the 408CT bolt for my BAT EX, haha!!

I waited 14 MONTHS for this thing...I didn't think it was ever going to arrive. Nice that they threw in the FP assembly. I was just going to swap the FP assembly between this and my 50cal bolt. Small consolation for the 14 MONTH wait, but I'll take it.

Did I mention that I had to wait 14 MONTHS.

And in related news, PT&G just sent the shipping notice for my .510 DTC GO gauge and .375 CT reamer and GO gauge.

Wahoo!! It's beginning to look a lot like xmas.

If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

looks nice, was it worth the 14 months?
The inconvenience of poor quality lingers long after the thrill of a good bargain.

Should have put a $100 in for scale, not a $20.

Nice looking bolt OP, when do we get to see the rifle?
          Sorry, not sorry.

              Haha!! Exactly!!

The Rifle action is *THIS* close to being ready for the 'smith. It's going to be a switch barrel 510 DTC/375CT. I've got the receiver, the 50 Cal bolt, both barrel blanks, both muzzle brakes, and I should have both reamers/gauges Monday.

The big wait is for the McMillian Super BR 50 stock...maybe another 6 months. I might have a line on a interim solution, though. We'll see!!

Here's my family receiver photo...Defiance (.243), BAT M (6 Dasher/.338 LMAI/7mm TBD), BAT EX (510/375CT). The top two are done.

The spending is just starting. Wait until you start feeding them. For the 375, definitely get at least two barrels since 2" blanks are not common in 375.

Are you going with the sexy Europa or the ugly EDM cartridge for the 50?

$150 for a three foot barrel is hard to beat

Since JF is a friend of mine, I have to admit that I have no idea what this thread is about, other than parts that look like they are for some sort of RBFG!!

The machining and detail on that bolt looks great, scale wise it looks like it would be for some sort of long range artillery piece.

                      Awesome!

                        Sexy Europa all the way!!

I got the .375 blank from Krieger. It's 1.75 for 5", tapers to 1.5". 37" long. It "only" took about 4 months.

I've got the 510 fireforming loads ready to go!!

Looking good. That's a huge bolt!
What's the plus on the fluted bolt over a regular one besides weight loss?
Not trying to be wise, just curious as I'm new to custom builds.
