Another ID thread..Mauser

Hey guys, new to CalGuns! But I've been searching and trying to research and searching even more to try to find out which model and country of origin my Mauser is, it has barely any markings (None on the top or any words of any kind) the only markings are the number "12" on the other side of the safety and a few crossed hammers (Looks like 2 hammers or hammer and pick??) but not a hammer sickle. then at the end of the barrel by the bayonet mount a little bitty star. thats it! no more numbers or words at all. I was thinking it was some sort of South American or those because it is a 7x57. but then it looks like a yugo? I dono. Help would be greatly appreciated and I am trying to figure out pics to post
