    Henry "Long Ranger"

Any of you guys seen this yet... Im pretty intrigued, looks like a BLR but with a decent trigger, and made in U.S.A.

While customer demand has been strong enough for the models we built our reputation on to keep us plenty busy at all of our facilities (which we appreciate), we’ve taken on other market segments with the expansion of our centerfire lines in both handgun and classic rifle calibers like the .30-30 Winchester and .45-70 Government,

I think it's cool. Now if it came in a takedown, they'd have my money. I'll wait a couple years and see if they come up with new models.

I'd like it use an AR type magazine similiar to the Mossberg MVP bolt-action and the Troy pump action rifles. As it is, your limited to Henry proprietary mags ala the Ruger Scout and Mini series. It may a great rifle, but I certainly would like one mag type to cover multiple platforms.

California is the home of mag modifications. This should be easy enough to do.

I remember when some guy modded DE mags to fit into a 96/44 mag body.

Winchester 88 and later Savage 99 did it too

My only issue is no iron sights. Even though I'd scope it if I bought one, I'm not going to have a lever gun that doesn't have iron sights. Adding iron sights isn't cheap either.

That they did but the Browning is by far the best design even over this latest presentation from Henry, Browning did some potent calibers that had never been done as well.

Have you ever felt the trigger on a BLR... The handful I have shot were atrocious. If the Long Ranger is anything like my other two Henrys the trigger should be much better. I will wait to see if they add irons though. Plus where are Browning's made...Japan, such a sin.

243,308,7mm I have all three. Triggers are an EASY tune if your not happy with them. Japan makes some of the finest guns BTW and that means better then the Henrys as well. You're missing out.

I'd like one in a takedown with iron sights and a forward rail for a scout scope, and for it to take AI mags. The rotating bolt sounds interesting.
