    Looking For Drone Shooters

Anybody here who has a Drone and wants to shoot at 2000 yards+?
I am willing to lend out a 338 Improved or 50 BMG if you can film it with your drone.

    .
I think I know what you're asking, Lynn... but it also can sound like you're looking for someone who wants to shoot their drone out of the sky... hahaha...

"Drones are annoying. I'll loan you a .338 if you'll shoot yours to smithereens!"

Meanwhile... video footage of hits on target from a drone aloft would be pretty cool!

It would be nice if we could get sound not just video but the drones I have seen are all very noisy
A video showing the shooters in there lanes then a flight to the gong and witnessing a hit plus the lights would make a good YouTube video.

Sounds like fun. I want to be there, even though all of the dang matches are on important work days for me.

2 drones would be cool! Mic the shooter and gong, sync the video's with audio, and display on a split screen.

I've got a 4K drone Lynn, but I'm in SoCal...when I finally make it out to a shoot, I was going to bring it along.
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
              Come on...what harm??

Deer season is over so it's time to shoot. I think Mike will be at our next match unless it rains.

There was a Shooter at one of the SoCal matches that had a drone. After the match was over and before everyone crashed for the night he was flying it at around 9 PM.
It was crazy funny watching that thing buzz all around but his batteries went dead so no Match footage.
I am hopeful Shakey or Appollo or one of those technical types owns a drone and we can get live footage.
My Android Turbo doesn't cut it and we never get to see the lights go off.
We also have Focus shooting a 338 SnipeTac now and a gong hit from a 300 grain Berger starting out at 3350 fps lights up 12-15 feet of dirt around the gong.
I would like to get it all on video to help promote this type of shooting but I know less than nothing about flying a drone.

i am in so cal and want to come do one of your shoots down here. You need a bit of a specialized copter to shoot the firing line and then fly out to the targets at over a mile.. just so happens i have one that can They all will be loud when shooting video, just part of what they are. i cant make it out till spring however so maybe then?

That thing is crazy looking. When you can make a SoCal match let me know a month ahead of time and I'll drive down there.
You can even shoot one of my rifles.

Where are these matches? I have a drone and a gopro for audio on the target end. I have also been interested in getting into some beginner match shooting.

My experience with these things is a 20 minute flight time. You have to fly down range and back. You might not have too much battery to get shooting time. This was a year ago. Maybe things have changed. DJI users chime in.

The matches in SoCal are near Bakersfield.
The NorCal matches are held just above Upper Lake off of hwy 20.

I'd use a 12 gauge close to shoot drones. At 1000 yards I think 6mm BR would be perfect.
