    Browning X Bolt Hell's Canyon Speed .308

Anyone out there have one of these? My son in law is looking at one.

Please tell me the good bad and the ugly...
    Thanks in advance.

Never seen one or heard of one either. Looks good to go. From a what I know and handles x bolts are well build and smooth but I can talk about accuracy. I'll add that to my list of bolt action consideration though.

Thanks for shedding light on that rifle!

I have looked all over SoCal just to see one and haven't found one in a store yet!

We got to handle one in 6.5 Creedmore. A week later he changed his mind from .308 to 6.5 but is was gone. Haven't seen one in stock since.

I have 2 stainless X-Bolts. Pros - very well built gun. I did have them accurized by Hill Country rifles, they're now incredibly accurate 1/2 MOA but they weren't too bad before. Cons- triggers can't be adjusted below 3.5 pounds. No gun smith will rebarrel an X-Bolt because the threads are too fine. I wanted to rebarrel a 300 WSM down. Too much recoil/blast in too light a gun. Mine are in 7-08 and .30-06.

X-Bolt is Amazing! It comes with a Fluted Barrel and custom dessert color! I was going to purchase the 300 win mag x-bolt, but got a Remington instead. Definitely my first choice though!

Is that dessert color Red Velvet by chance? Methinks you mean desert.
