The 5R barrel on the 24" stainless model 29663 is clearly the best barrel remington sells on a non-custom built rifle.
They routinely shoot 1/3moa groups with factory ammo.

5R is what Randall said. The best bbl. they provide.
I have one and it shoots extremely well. I have had many other Remington 700s with the standard bbls. They shot ok. But never as well as the 5R.
A plus is that the 5R is amazingly easy and fast to clean.

How big is the different when you compare the 5r to 700p or LTR barrel?

It is seven purple chickens better. But back to what you want to do with it, probably doesn't matter. If you want to get better and practice with a tool that will serve you then get the 29663.

Barrel quality is hard to quantify, there are generic barrels that shoot ok, then there are great barrels that shoot well, clean well, load easy, and last a long time. Depends on if you want something OK or if you want something better.

When you buy a factory barrel get the contour and length best suited to your garden.
Short barrels are good for bush beans and the long barrels are good for tomato stakes.

Why the 5r is so much better? I'm not questioning, just want to know? Bcz of the rifling, groove degree, stainless steel barrel...

Out of the dozen or so in my sampling, the 5r/7r seems to get better results. This is especially true with solid bullets. No plans on anything else.

What we know for a fact is that the uniformity of the bore is the most important thing for a quality barrel. Barrels with good bore uniformity will be more accurate, easier to load for, easier to clean, and tend to produce higher velocities.

Bore uniformity is a function of steel quality, drilling quality, rifling quality and lapping quality. All of those steps require attention which is why factory produced barrels are not as good as custom barrels. The 5R is somewhere in between the two. I don't think it's lapped but a significant QC step (measuring bore uniformity) is conducted where normally one would not be on the other Remington rifle barrels.

rifling, groove degree, and barrel steel type generally do not contribute measurably to accuracy. 5R is less stressful on bullets and may clean easier, I've never heard of anyone quantifying groove number and accuracy, and consistency of the steel is more important than type of steel (as long as it's an acceptable barrel steel).

It's a combination of all those.
                          They just got it right.
It's a shame they don't all shoot as good as those 24" stainless 5R model 29963 guns.

416 is easier to machine WELL than 4140.
So if you spend XX amount of EFFORT on both chromoly barrel and a stainless barrel, the stainless barrel will generally be more consistent.
You can make a chromoly barrel just AS GOOD as a stainless barrel, but it's more work due to the nature of the material.

This is why the vast majority of custom rifles use stainless barrels.
