What makes the Rem 700 ADL so cheap?

With the rebate and other deals like the ebay cabelas gift cards you can pick one up for around $270 (308 varmint model). What are the differences between the SPS model? I'm looking for another entry level project gun. How is that x-mark pro trigger?

I have two ADLs and the best answer i can probably give is it's because they don't have magazine.

Yes.
The receiver used on the ADL is the same as any of the other BDL or SPS variants.
The primary difference is in the finishing (blued vs sandblasted and black oxided) and the stocks and bottom metal that are used.
