The blessings I experience every day are far better than the wrath I deserve.
Thankfully, there is no such thing as karma.
Proof being that if it did exist we would all most assuredly be dead

If it's all set up now. Don't touch it. Do it after your hunt is over in the off season.Looking for RPR or Precision Rifle Accessories? Check out Anarchy Outdoors. http://www.anarchyoutdoors.com?afmc=1w -

Both those scopes are pretty much in the same class... is there something you were trying to achieve by swapping to a VX1 because I doubt you would gain much... just small differences in the way the turrets are setup and perhaps reticle.
I too would keep it as it is until the season is up and you have time. But since you have the scope, take it with you on your next trip and look at things in the field, compare yourself, and see if its even worth mounting it up.
Regarding rushing out to mount and zero before field use... sometimes it doesn't work out as your planned... I personally would want to give it some sold testing before calling it good... and you might run into an issue which may require additional testing, like an internal fault with a scope which is causing issues holding zero or an issue with the rings...
You have a validated working platform... there is value in that as well when you need to count on it.ExtremeXComment

You all validated what I knew I must / must not do.
The rifle will remain as is.
Thanks

Leave it alone. Range time might not be easy to find. Things break.
Leave it for a winter project.
Where will you be hunting?Comment

Good call, mess around in the winter when you don't have any time constraints and you can become completely competent and confident with any new changes you make.Comment
