Mossberg MPV LC 556

Searched and couldn't find post talking about this rifle.

Anyone with experience with it? It seems like a good deal with Vortex viper HS-T 4-16x44 scope.

Living in Bay Area, the longest range is limited to 200 yards. Also I can use the AR mag is a plus. 556 is good enough for my skill.

Might want to look for the right rifle. Its the Mossberg mVp. MpV is a minivan.

I still comparing the Mvp LC vs the ruger precision. But again I don't need a 308 to shoot 200 yards.

I have the Flex version of this rifle and it is a great 200+ yard rifle. Good scope too. I say GTG>

I had one for a bit but couldn't get use to how much bolt slop it had. I sold mine for the RPR 6.5. I am very satisfied and glad I did what I did

I would recommend that route

Buy MVP, shoot, sell then buy RPR? Or the route straight at RPR.

FWIW, I bought two Mossbergs this past year. This .243 (http://www.mossberg.com/product/moss...-walnut-27835/) and this in 223/556 (http://www.mossberg.com/product/mvp-...-combos-27712/).

Like them both. Bolt isn't as crisp as a Remington 700 but neither cost nearly as much as a Remy. Never had any problems with either rifle (223 bolt does the job picking up rounds from the AR style mag). IMO they are the best value rifles currently available.
