    Marlin 1894 accessories

So I'm paying off the rifle tomorrow and want to know where to get a lever wrap and a nice leather sling that won't break the bank. Maybe stock wrap too. Any ideas? I'm also getting skinner peep sight too.

Just get some ammos and shoot it.

However, if you like lever wrap, checkout this site.

Haha......be careful......there are so many great options in Leather you will have a hard time deciding..

I ended up buying some nice leather products for some of my lever guns from
Diamond D Custom Leather up in Alaska.

Actually any 'Sling' will fit your lever. Depends on what kind of look.

I also picked up a guide holster for my TRR8 a companion pistol for my
1894C Marlin in .357 Magnum. I should have refrained from watching Hickok45
      And his set up....

On my Remlin 30-30 trunk gun with plastic Champion stocks from MidwayUSA
I did I hang the Leather sling on her but have swapped it to another rifle.

There's a user on here (kielbasavw) that does nice work. If they are willing to do it again that's one way you could go.

The issue with leather wraps around the lever is leather retains moisture. I have read various reports from the Marlin Owners forum of ruse developing over time. I have wrapped mine as a result.

I would like some peep sights though. Maybe an FO in the front.

I use "Ricochet Roy" version for the lever. Bit of a chore to put on but leaves plenty of room inside the lever. Excellent quality, needles and waxed stitching included.

I'm guessing you meant to say you have un-wrapped your lever as a result?

I suppose if a rifle is not stored in a dry environment or is used in the rain etc., and you really want a wrap anyway, you could spray a coat of paint on section of the lever that's going to be covered. That would create a barrier against moisture. Black Duracoat or similar process would probably work best.

Regarding peep sites, I have one of Skinner's leaf sight replacement peep sites. It fits in the barrel's dovetail. It may be not the ideal place to put an aperture sight (kind of far forward), but I have found if I run it with the standard peep removed, it works pretty well. Makes the "ghost ring" small since it's farther away from the eye.

And the reason I'm using this sight instead of a receiver mount sight is because I've mounted a Weaver rail on the receiver. I like to do load checks and longer shots with a Weaver 2.5x scope atop the rifle.

How much did that brown leather cheek rest cost? I have a 1894 in 44mag and would love to pic one of those up!

I don't at all get the fashionable leather "dress up" that some of you folks are presenting.
