    Muzzle Brake Magic Wizard??

So I'm heading to Randall's this week to have him spin on a new barrel. I forgot about the muzzle brake.

    I emailed Nathan at muzzlebrakesandmore.com on 09/02 looking for a 1.25" dia, 3 port, 3/4x24 thread, 1 piece brake.

I sent payment of $57 on 09/02 at about 11pm.

The brake arrived today. Wtf?? Is Nathan some sort of muzzle brake magic wizard??

You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
    Come on...what harm??

His brakes just plain work, the price is right, and you can't beat the turnaround time. Randall turned me on to him. He's my go-to MB guy.

Next time try one of these. They are $27 cheaper and no holes on the top of the brake.

Lynn, what's you're experience with these breaks?
How would you stack the Harrell up against a Ross Schuler or
a Surefire ProComp in a mid range LRP vehicle like a 6.5CR or .308win

I saw those...though I thought they were $12 cheaper for the "tactical" (non-radial) version, which seems most similar to the one Nathan and Ross supply.

Maybe next time...I needed one quick and Nathan and Ross never disappoint.

Most gunsmiths don't make there own muzzlebrakes because of the time involved.
The Harrell Bros have been building them for other Gunsmiths for decades and the threading on them is excellent.
I tried getting a Ross Schuler brake without the top holes and he told me he couldn't make it so I passed.

The new brake mounted (work by Randall) on the right.

Lynn, Nathan (my understanding is that Nathan and Ross work together) makes brakes without top holes. That's one of his (on the left) on my .338 LMAI barrel.

Joe did you leave them (barrels\breaks) raw or did Randall blast and
                        park them for you?
I'll be making a trip to Randall's playhouse this year.

Those are raw stainless steel barrels and brakes.
You can not parkerize stainless steel.
