New Model 70 Pics (Mine)

Bought this new Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in 25-06 a few weeks ago in anticipation for some upcoming hunting trips. I've been wanting to do the Quarterbore thing for a LONG time. Can't afford a Pre-64 in 257 Roberts, so this is about the next best thing...maybe even better. Scope is a new Leupold VX-3 3.5-10x40 with CDS, Talley intergrated rings/bases...you get the idear.

New FN production, Controlled Feed Pre-64 style etc...

Great rifle and terrific caliber! I have my first deer rifle a Ruger 77/MKII in 25/06 for 25 years now I has killed scores of deer both white tail and mule deer. At least a dozen antelope and one huge 6x6 bull elk. My all time favorite cartridge. Good choice going with the model 70 with the pre 64 action
