    LabRadar Chronograph

LabRadar Ballistic Velocity Doppler Radar Chronograph. Is this machine functional on the Shooting Range, when the person next to you is shooting too? Or it is "confused" by other shots and make measurements more difficult?

Focus WhiteMamba and ShaunBrady all post here and own one.

In the video you can see two of them in use side by side without any issues.
I think WhiteMamba is in Canada on a hunting trip so maybe one of the other guys will post if I am wrong?

        Here you go :

Will LabRdar pick up shot from other shooters?

LabRadar accuracy will not be affected by other shots being fired into your radar beam. Part of the technology built into the system allows it to determine if the shot came from very near the radar unit or if it came in from another location. Since the radar tracking is only active for a fraction of a second it is nearly impossible for you to receive a velocity from another shooter nearby. Your unit also has an adjustment in it to "turn off" most gunshots that are nearby, yet allow your shot to operate the unit. In rare cases your unit may trigger on another shooters muzzle blast. If this occurs you can easily delete that shot from your data.

Video looks better when you turn the phone into it's proper camera orientation (next time )

Thank's for posting the vid - i've been looking for real world use of the labradar but only a few promo youtubes even focus on them.

I'll bug JMP to let me try his and see if my initial concerns are legitimate.

Yeah was trying to show the lights flashing at over 2000 yards and it wasn't working in any orientation.
I know Focus has used his LabRadar in crowded conditions because he used it on my 338 Lapua Improved under a covered firing position with shooters on both sides of us without any issues.
I don't own one I'm more of a Oehler type but he and Shaun use them all the time and could best answer any questions.

O.P. - I can't comment on your original question, but I got a chance to test my Labradar out for the first time yesterday before my local Saturday Cowboy Action Shoot.

Based upon my initial tests yesterday, the unit does everything it is marketed as doing, and does it well. So easy to set up and use!

No other shooting was going on at the time, so it really was an easy test for the device. But it worked so well that the Club wants to have it available for the upcoming Regional match, in case any questions are raised about shooters not meeting the minimum power factor.

I drank the Labradar kool-aid, and I'm really glad that I did. I found that I have a little more work to do with my reloads - I'm using too much powder for Cowboy shooting!

Thanks TMH for sharing real life experience with your unit. Despite steep price, $600 for the unit + carry case, MidwayUSA has it on backorder. I don't mind to wait.

I've read some reviews, but no one seems to have commented much on accuracy. Anyone know of any data?

I ordered mine from Copper Custom Armory. Pricing was the same as Midway USA, but the bonus is supporting the Military Arms Channel via CCA purchases. Shipping was reasonable (~$10). Ordered on a Sunday, was shipped on Monday, and IIRC I got it "delivered early" on the following Friday. Shows in stock right now.

BTW: I sold my MagnetoSpeed V3 Chrony today after having used my Labradar yesterday for the very first time.

The claimed accuracy is 0.1% or 3fps at 3000fps velocity.

Bryan Litz did some tests and IIRC the conclusion was that it is as accurate as anything out there (including Oehlers and MagnetoSpeed).

As for the original question, I have had it pick up sjhots from shooters next to me at the range, but you can turn the sensitivity down to minimize that.
