I have heard the same symptoms reported from several customers who have the rifles.
They behave exactly how a thin barrel behaves.
If you want a thin sporter barrel, just buy a rifle with a thin round barrel.
If you want a stiff target barrel, buy a rifle with a thick round target barrel.
