    Savage Stealth 10 BA

I was just reading that apparently the Savage 10 BA in Creedmoor 6.5 seems to be delivered with a 22" barrel installation read of the 24 "

Anyone out here having the same issue ?

People buying guns based primarily on looks usually prefer shorter barrels so this makes perfect sense on the part of Savage.
Those 22" barrels will shoot just fine at the 50yd and 100yd lines that the buyers of "cool" looking guns usually use them at.

Doesn't make any difference for those shooters

But in the specs it mentions 24" and apparently the barrels are just 22"

        I know . . . it's a Savage . . .

So my friend just received a call from RJ at Savage

If you have a 22" send in your rifle and Savage replaces it with a 24"

Nice Customer service but stupid Quality Control 😂

I am just following this up because of my friend who bought one

So according to Savage they made a Marketing error - not a manufacturer error . . . it should have been advertised as a 22" barrel

If you send in your Stealth they'll install a 24" barrel

No barrels will be shipped !

                    Sort of . . .
In the header right of the picture they still mention 24"
                    But below 22"

So at least they should offer you a 23" barrel

Now I would ask for a 26" and if needed pay a few bucks extra . . .

                    It's Savage Randall 😉

I was just looking through my pile of build sheets.
The last FOUR rifles I have barrelled were all 24" 6.5 Creedmoors.
It's been a 6.5 Creedmoor type of month...

Why not go 24" . . . should do the trick as well

Anyway you know it better than me Randall !

To those with the Stealth does the location of the safety bug you? It reminds me of getting to the safety on a Mossberg 500/590 with a pistol grip.......akward.

I really like Savage rifles. I'm looking at the 6.5.
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.

That rifle looks really tactical style, almost like an AR-15. I thought Savages as more hunting type rifles. I am assuming it takes AICS mags, or something weird?
