Rem700 or Ruger American Bolt action scope mount question

I am trying to decide on getting a Remington 700 or a Ruger American Bolt Action in 308. I have a Burris Eliminator scope that I would like to mount on either one.
So the question I have is: does anyone own either rifle, and have you mounted a Burris Eliminator scope on it at anytime??
Do I need to purchase extra parts to Mount? Any issues?
Just asking to help with the decision process.

    Thank you

I have both... a Ruger American and a Remington 700. Between the two I would pick the R700 if I could only own one.

I would presume that scope can mount to any rifle you want... I just used google images and do see the mounting system is different, but all you need is a section of rail on either one of those rifles.

I did use the factory mounts that came with my Ruger American and it wouldn't accept rings with a pictinny lug, so I bought some weaver rings.
