ThomasHoward Has Left The Range

Calgun member ThomasHoward left the range May 2nd. A family friend of over 30 years he succumbed to cancer last week. Brian was a active shooter and hunter who enjoyed hobby type gunsmithing. I just bought some bullets from him about a month ago and never knew he was on Calguns until I followed his directions to his home. When I pulled up he was standing in the doorway with a big grin on his face.
I showed him a heavygun built by SpeedyGonzales and he checked out my bolt very carefully. He then showed me his bolt he had lapped the lugs on and was very proud of. He held my bolt next to his to show me his work when I told him he was looking at the wrong side of the lugs. He laughed it off and still remembered it after 20 years.
A really nice guy who I will miss.

Sorry to hear this news. Only had a brief discussion with him once about his user name.

I know that he was trying to clean up and sell his supplies while he still could.

Brian will be missed. I was over at his house a short time before he passed and I was glad I got to spend some time with him before he lost his battle. He was a good man and is was always great to sit down and bs with him.
