Two (mostly) down, one to go

    Hello everyone,

Got the 243 build from this thread (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1172424) all finished. I mounted a Bushnell 3.5-21x50 DMR that I had hanging around. This one has the G2 reticle. I've got another DMR with a mildot, but I've become a bit of a holdover man so I gravitate towards "xmas tree" style reticles. I've got a Kahles 624i that I might try with it, too.

I still haven't cleared off the reloading bench so no range report...but I can make really cool "pew-pew-pew" sounds when I pull the trigger, haha!!

Second one is mostly done....not much to look at right now. Let me get the build sheet out of the way before I forget again, haha!!

    - BAT M action, 1.47" multiflat, will be a switch barrel
    - 3 bolts (308, Mag, Lapua), no ejectors, sliding plate extractors, fluted
    - Bartien barrel, 338 LMAI, 1.35" for 5", taper to 1". 30"
    - Nathan Wright Beast 4-port muzzle brake
    - Chambering/threading/MB install/timing by Randall
    - Precision Rifle & Tool F-class low-boy stock, Royal Camo Improved laminate
    - Bix n Andy trigger
    - Kreiger 4-groove, 1.25" straight is waiting in the wings for a 6 Dasher chambering.

...just got it back from Jim Davis who did the inletting and bedding. The guy does great work...he got it down to about 1/2 a thou deflection when all was said and done. That will do

I tried adjusting the Bix n Andy trigger to see how low I could go...31 grams is pretty damn low, haha!! I think shooting in a high-wind might set the trigger off, haha!! (Black needle holds the last reading)

Still have to decide on a stock finish of some kind...I might just oil it and call it a day or just spray some clear.

***Oh...and let this be a lesson to all of you who may be as thick-headed as me: When you bring your action and 338 barrel to your gunsmith for chambering, you should PROBABLY bring the right bolt. Like, bring the Lapua bolt for your Lapua chambering...NOT the 308 bolt, haha!!!!! D'OH!!!!

So yes, back to Randall I'll go to see if he can fix my mistake.

You know, maybe they SHOULD require licenses to own and operate guns, haha!!!
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
    Come on...what harm??

            Death before Fclass...

...except, DAMN that rifle looks tasty. She has very sweet lines, often Fclass guns get chunky but that rifle is really lovely.
weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?
