Sako 85 Varmint vs. Sako A7

Does anyone know why one (85 Varmint ) commands a hefty premium over the other? I'm looking to pick up a bolt gun sometimes in the Summer months or December/Christmas and have been doing a little research on bolt guns. I like Sako and don't know if I should pony up going for the Varmint or just chilling out with the A7. Purpose for the gun? Paper punching for the moment. However, I would not rule out future hunting trips if the opportunity presents itself.

Well, you ain't going to go wrong with a Sako. I've been shooting/hunting with my Sako Finnbear for a while now. This is, without doubt, the most accurate big game rifle I have EVER shot. I have not shot the newer Sako's, but, I understand they are just as good and accurate. BTW, my Finnbear was made in 1963. I bought it in 1999 and still use it as my absolute #1 rifle. How's that?

The sako 85 is a better action

It has a controlled feed, 3 pos safety, 5 rd mag, the a7 action is similar to the tikka. Before you buy the 85 though, be aware that the 85 uses proprietary rings.
