I am looking at getting a 25-06 ackley.
A friend of mine said to look into cooper rifles. They look pretty nice. Does anyone here have any experience with them? Thinking about ordering one soon and would like some first hand opinions.

I have the Cooper 21 in 222 Remington and the Cooper/Colt light tactical in 308 Winchester. They are both well fitted, the stock on the 21 has a very nice beavertail forend. The triggers are easily adjustable, bolt throw is very short. I think the stock on the 21 and their other varmint, single shots should have a touch higher comb and maybe a bit more weight in the back.

I got both of mine on GB - a store in MI (IIRC) has lots of them listed on line if you don't want to order & wait. My next Cooper will probably be a Model 38 in 22 Hornet. I like that Cooper uses the right size action and bolt for the smaller cartridges.

You might want to take a look at Dakota rifles too. They are more expensive though.
