    Ammo Binders new color ;)

After grabbing a wrong round an putting it in on of my mags - I sense have made sure to have distinctive ammo carriers.

Anyway, these ammo binders are good space savers fit great in a pack.

The black and white is the newest addition it is totally camo in a black tie event LOL

    Here they are open

Made by user "softcock" on snipers hide.
Shown are 6.5, 30/06, win mag, LM-/ but he makes up to 50s

I learned to open my eyes, read the tag on my ammo holder(GI can, cardboard box or plastic case) and think before I removed the wrong ammo for the rifle/pistol.
It is amazing how well that works......when you use your brain

However whatever works for you is just fine. Your firearm, your ammo, your choice of carrier and your money.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Not sure the above is called for, guess a bad day.

To op I have thought about purchasing some of those, what is the cost for one? Also do they have ones that carry 30 rounds or is 20 the most?

      Thanks

      Chad

        Divernhunter's got a point though.

I would hate to be on the firing line shooting .25-06 from the coyote tan holder and .270 from the khaki holder.

Did I put 7mm-08 in the black with white, or the white with black?

Is the .30-06 in the multicam or marpat holder? How about the 8mm Mauser?

If it works for the OP that's great; and cool looking shell holder things are always nice to have. However, I'll check headstamps and/or the cardboard insert I write my load data on.

Yes, it's obvious he has them marked on the 'spine' and inside the flap too.

As much as I like the idea of the soft case, cloth type ammo holders, for $4.99 (sometime $3.99), I can find these plastic cases. I get different colored ones, or I simply put a big label on the top of the case with the cartridge. On the inside, I put the load data, which is taped and can easily remove and replace when/if I am using a new load. I use some material that goes between the ammo and the top case so it doesn't move around and it protects the bullet tips from getting damaged.

I have two of softcock's BMG ammo wallets. Not cheap, but very high quality. I'm hoping he starts making the 20 round "soft boxes" again.

This is my way as well, on the data I use the little sheets that come or used to come with a box of bullets and I just roll it up and insert where a cartridge would go. I use white electrical tape on top and pen in the cartridge designation with a paint pen.

                Ammo Binders new color

Granted these are not for everyone. And I do have a bunch of MTM boxes that I store my ammo in.

Sorry if the application seems outside of some peoples box (an attempt at a joke)~

For those that might run a match were everything you use must be carried station to station for the entire day or even over night, the soft binders are great space savers in your pack. Hunting is another example were I use them.

The back story on the Black carrier is that the Win Mag and 30-06 family can look very similar loaded with the same projectile. In the dark with two guns in one vehicle, as we prepared, I grabbed the wrong carrier (yes it was labeled). Anyway, I tossed the smaller round in my Mag port quickly.. It closed normally, head spacing on the shoulder. Yep, Darwinism in action, however if you've been in these situations you'd actually identify.

                Picture taken, Legal hunting time

I did post an image.. But will so again.

This was well after all the blood stopped seeping out a crazy amount of powder holes.

Anyway, the main point is that they are space savers for the type of matches I mentioned and hunting. I am sorry, I took it for granted that everyone would get the use intended.

Yes, they are available in 40 round from Softcock but only SA 308 case dia from Tony Burkes at Tab Gear.. Both really stand up guys.

Softcock will often entertain custom builds-

Chad I am not sure of the cost ~ I think they are around 38, but honestly I am not sure. I've had both the Tab Gear and softcock sense about the betas. I just received the funny BLK and White one..

Yes, 40 rounders are available. If you wanted 30 you'd have 1/2 of one panel free however.

I was just ribbing the OP.
Yes "I personally" have no use for them. But to each his own.
If you were smart enough to read and understand the last line of my post. You would have understood that I feel it is his stuff, money, choice and if it works for him that is just fine. If he is happy that is what matters. To each his own.
