I am not blaming the bolt on his rifle just noting that mine was full of burrs not allowing the rounds to ignite.
Notice my bolt is not a 111 338 bolt but a Stevens body.
His rifle is new and rather than wasting time on it the best thing to do is send it in.

This is what I'd want to figure out first. I'd feel stupid sending it back if nothing was wrong with it.

Same result. You are blaming a product without sufficient evidence to make any logical conclusion. Also know ln as blind speculation.

My comment wasn't directed at you Cucv. Some of us are actually concerned more with helping people than our wallets. If it turns out to be an equipment problem, that's no skin off my nose. I just want you to make an educated decision based on valid info not the arrogance of opinion(s). =)

Actually some of those opinions own Savage rifles and recommend sending it back rather than wasting money on do it yourself fixes.

Cycle 40 pieces of ammo through it with the rifle sitting on something very stable and you will know how it feeds.

If it doesn't feed properly send it back.
I actually own one and will never buy another but that has nothing to do with how your gun feeds or doesn't feed. And mine is probably more accurate than most.

I own two (one savage and one stevens) and won't buy another one for a myriad of reasons.
