    Axis 2 issues

I bought a Savage Axis 2, 30-06 in October. Ive shot it maybe 3 times. But it does not like to load properly. The bolt wont catch the casing and load if i try to go fast. I have to load it very slow. Anyone else ever had this issue. Im about to call savage and tell them i dont want it.

No never had that problem. Are you sure you're pulling the bolt back far enough when you're going fast?

Not sure. I feel i am cycling the action all the way. Does it matter which way the t is rotated at the end of the bolt?

The problem is marked right on the bolt:

Telling them you don't want it will do nothing. They will have you send it back and repair it. And send it back to you. It might just be the magazine .
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

Does your bolt fit if the T is flipped around? On mine it only fits one direction.

                OP, where do you live?

Someone may be able to help you in person; only problem is a lot of us live near a tree.

Not normally. But if the lips got bent a little it could cause the bolt to hangup. Work the bolt with a empty mag. See if you can feel it rubbing somewhere.

I would call Savage and send it in if need be.

I had a CalGuns member work on my Savage and if I had to do it again I would just send it in.
The fix on mine was a new bolt.

Lol I love how some of you are blaming the bolt without confirmation of the problem. He could simply be short stroking the action.
