    Finished 300WM Build

I normally don't post pics of my gear, but I have to say a big thanks to the advice I received on this forum, especially: ar15barrels, LynnJr, & JMP.

ar15 Barrels performed all the work. I got the rifle out today, and she is shooting 1/3MOA with reloaded ammo. I'll get some more rounds through it, and do some more load testing. Thanks again to the above members!

    Specs:
    PTG trued Rem700 L/A Mag
APO Saber Mod-1 Tac Chassis 30MOA rail

    Timney Calvin Elite 2-stage trigger
    Ross Schuler 4 port Brake
    APO 10round DSSF 300WM Magazine

Yes she is, but I'll give it a run! I can dial up 61MOA in the scope which gets me to aprox 1675. So that doesn't mean that I won't still join ya'll one day. I have to shake your hand before I head back to the east coast.

You can get some Burris Signature XTR rings and they will add 40 moa more to your scope. They come with inserts that range from 0 moa to 54 moa in total and swap out very quickly for about $88.

Max out the scope to a nice round number such that you can use one of the hash marks on the reticle as your holdover.

So for example, you max out at 61 minutes and say you need 78 minutes on the gun based on your calculations. Then, dial back to 58 minutes, then use the 20 minute hash mark as your new center. There's your 78 minute come up.

How is the PTG action? Did it require any extra work? I am considering one for a build.

Think about another scope.. When you hold way over, you limit your ability to self-spot. Unfortunately in ELR, scopes can be the most misunderstood and often advice given can be on the short side.

                  Otherwise great looking build.

They don't true the threads, seemed fine for the price I paid. IMO depending on what you are spending, sometimes it's only a $3-500 difference for one of the high end actions. Others would know more than I on this one

I agree, The PST is a takeoff from my hunting rifle. I am considering the Vortex Razor HD 2.

That's PST is the biggest weakness. I too would go with the Razor 3.5-27x; that will be the perfect compliment.

Don't spend much time at 100yds.
300 win mags tend to shoot better at 200yds.
