    Question about Remington Model 70C

Trying to find some info about a rifle I own. Google doesn't seem particularly helpful on this one.

It's a Remington Bolt action in .308 Win. Seems to be a variant of a Model 700.

Can anybody provide any information or place a value on it? I have never shot it. It appears pristine except for one minor scratch on the wood stock.

    Thanks

That looks like a 700 that didn't get stamped deep enough.

Thanks for the info. Still wondering why it is stamped 70C.

Hateca 'splained it. That looks like a weak or broken roll mark. It should say "700".
