Seems like a good price to me. I paid a bit over $800 in San Jose 3 years ago.

That's a good price. I paid $800 at turner's and waited 6 months. Then 2 months later after I received the rifle it went on sale for $750.

Not sure where you are but here's a couple of prices I found around Modesto
Called2Arms $722 No tax or dros included.

Shotgun Johnny's $712 No tax or dros included.

One thing for sure Dan. With that 16 inch barrel she will be a Sweet Shooter. Better start reloading .357 because Lever Guns are addicting.

The thing about Marlin (older models with JM barrels) and Henry's is the quality is so good the resale value is always there.

That seems like a pretty good price to me. I've got the Henry Big Boy, brass with a 20 inch barrel and I paid more, but not list price for mine. Fun rifle, I ended putting a scope on it because the old eyes just had a difficult time with the stock buckhorn.

Henry has great customer service. If you ever have a problem start with the president of the company, Anthony Imperato. I had a small problem with an H001 and CS wouldn't help at all. I e-mailed Mr Imperato and the problem was solved, plus a new hat and nice coffee mug.

Have you checked pricing at GB? here's a link to give you an idea.
