Sako A7 RoughTech Range which caliber?

I saw the Sako A7 RoughTech Range in 7mm Mag at a local gun shop. I liked the weight and balance plus the action was really smooth and best of all the trigger pull felt really light.

    I already several .308's a GAP Crusader and a GAP-10 and Socom 16, a 5.56, .30/.30, and I am a 6.5 Creedmoor being built. The 7mm Mag is really nice but would a 300 mag be better.

That Sako is a little light. 300 mag be a bruiser in a light gun.

These will kill just about anything

Of course they sell that gun in 6.5x55 as well. Now that is a fine hunting round.

Been looking for one of these. Would you mind sharing which shop has them?

Ooooh, what was their price on it? They don't give prices over the phone. You could pm if you want.

I bit the bullet an ordered A7 Roughtech Pro in 300 Win Mag. So it will take another two weeks or so till it comes in, and another ten days of wait.

Planning on getting a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP EBR-2C for the A7 Roughtech Pro 300 Win Mag. I am very familiar with that reticle, because I two Vortex Razor HD Gen I's, and another new Gen II EBR-2C for another build.

Granted it is a step down from the Gen II EBR-2C but, I don't think I will losing much getting PST.

As for mounting a scope, are the existing mount good enough or do I need a new picatinny rail? What type of picatinny rail would you recommend that would fit the Sako A7? Or is the provided mount strong enough? I maybe over thing this and it is easy as mounting a scope on a picatinny rail.
