Op, it all depends on how much you want that particular rifle. A few years ago I was looking for a JM Marlin 1894c and I found one that I had to get it shipped to me and it cost slightly higher than the market price. It didn't matter to me since it was something I really want. To this day, it is one of my favorite rifle and I have no regret paying a little extra to get it, it will be something that I will always keep and pass down to my kids. Of course you can always wait longer and look for it, but with current things are going, price would only go up. Hope this helps and good luck!

I got that much for my .357 2 years ago...she was 98+% and had a set of never used furniture.

The difference between a lever gun and an IMI Timberwolf is one of scarcity.

They're also faster-shooting than a lever gun.

IMI only imported 1000 of the .44 mag version...not sure how many .357's came to the U.S. but obviously far fewer than an 1894c clone.

They're lightweight and easy to pack in a scabbard on horse back. They're manufactured in the traditional quality of IMI.

They are pretty well sought after and not many are out there. It's pretty much a seller's market and you are likely going to pay HIS price without much room to haggle.

Never owned one but they have a certain mystique that seems like it might be worth the time.
