Savage Receiver

I want to buy a Savage receiver for a project rifle. I'm in east bay area. Anyone knows an FFL that might carry them or be willing to order them?

You might want to look at the Savage axis action very ridgid, more so then std. Savage. Boyd's has aftermarket stock.

Target action (have two) take larger thread size, buying aftermarket (I have Shilens) barrels is limited unless building non std. Calibers.
