    Mossberg Patriot Vortex

I bought way too much .270WIN/150 gr. SP PPU ammo when PSA had it for $10/box, and then I finally found some Barnes 140 gr. TSX .270WIN ammo, Pierce Precision factory seconds in 50 round bags, which is/was the only manufacturer loading it, for an equivalent price of $27/box.

So, I figured it was about time to buy my oldest son a .270WIN for Christmas.

    ...and found this:

Mossberg Patriot Vortex Scoped Combo Blued/Synthetic .270Win 22-inch 5 Rds

    Mossberg Patriot Vortex Scoped Combo

    ...so I bought'em both one.

            Congrats!

Ya after reading about them in the NRA mag I couldn't stop thinking about how good that stock looks. Such a clean classic look.

I've been wanting a .270, think I may pick one up. Let us know how they shoot and how they look when you bust em outa jail.

Man, I'm in the market for a nice bolt action (sub 1k) and I can't decide. How does this compare to say, the ol' rem 700 or one of the higher end .308 savages?

                Well...

Considerin' that the scope is ~$150 on-line, plus the rings...

...that puts the cost of the Rifle at ~ $210 dollars.

For a 7.5 lb. MOA Hunting Rifle?

haha yeah I saw that video yesterday after I posted my comment. I'm just trying to see if I spending a bit more would be wiser down the road or just go and get this as my first bolt action. That adjustable trigger pull is fantastic though.

                    Well...

If you are considering the Patriot Vortex Scoped Combo Blued/Synthetic in .270Win...?

Grabagun.com only has Two(2) left at that price.

It's actually one of the calibers I'm looking at right now as well haha. Either .270, .308, or 30-06 (will eventually do some deer hunting). But the laminate model looks really nice
