                          I'm not very good at pictures. I'll give a hint and try to take better pic tomorrow if nobody has guessed it by then. It was made in USA

                                          Honestly, I was thinking the bolt shroud looked very flat and but I couldn't be sure because of the shadow. I could see the recoil lug washer. The Mossberg was on my mind. The rifle wasn't nice enough to be a Kleingunther or a Cooper.

                                              I've never handled either of those. The quality of this is in the same class as the Remington 660, it's just a different design.

                                                  Still not very good pic, but this is it with a Remington 660. You can see difference in bolt handles.

                                                      I'd not have guessed. It looks like the old Mossbergs are nicer than the new Mossbergs.

                                                          A couple months ago I wouldn't have guessed it either. It's way better than the new Mossberg rifles. It's kind of a cool design. It has six locking lugs that are in a three lug pattern so it has a short lift. As far as I can tell searching the net. It was probably designed by L W Seecamp when he worked for Mossberg.
