    Cuyama match experience.

We shot at 1,000 yards today in some serious winds and iffy weather. I dialed in 4 MOA before my first shot because of the east wind coming out of the hills and the winds were gusting 2-3 minutes at every shot. You could see the effects of the gusts when a couple of times in each string everyone on the line would throw a shot into the 8 or 9 ring in the same direction, at the same time.

What was odd was that there were sudden pressure changes from the storms trying to build up and the entire line would shoot 8-10" high all at the same time and then 2 minutes later the shots would drop back in at the correct elevation.

Only 5 shooters showed up as Hwy 33 from the south was closed but it was a fun, challenging, time.

I bought a new camera and I wanted to see how it did at 1,000 yards so here's a picture from the line with no magnification and the second picture is zoomed in at 58X.

I had this happen in Phoenix once.
We were only shooting at 100yds, but we all had a 3/4" elevation shift within minutes.
This was about 20 shooters on the line, all shooting paper targets at the same time.
You would not believe it would happen unless you had it happen yourself...

I was in Cuyama yesterday, but it was for the Cuyama Valley Reunion as my wife is from Cuyama and I agree the weather was weird.
