    Looking for a Remington 700 5R

I'm in the Sacramento area and looking for a Remington 700 5R 24" I checked a few stores in the area and did not find any. Could you help a brother out and let me know if you see one. Hoping to pick one up as my first bolt action gun.

    Thank you,

    Vince

You order it through your LGS. It's not a generally stocked item.

Yep, just order it. Almost any rifle worth beans is going to need to be ordered in, but you still need to give business to the locals since there's a transfer fee & CA fee.

I know Wild Sports carries them. They had one for 999.97 I believe. It might still be there, and they stock extras. If it sold they should be able to order another for you and you cant beat their prices.

+1 for wild sports in Orangevale. They regularly have 7R models in stock. Bought mine there many years ago. Don't let the bitter stares from staff turn you away.

Coyote point armory in Burlingame has this in stock
and also stocks most of the others in the 5R's

So he is DROSing it without physically inspecting the firearm and verifying the SN# per BATF Regulations?

I would never want to dros a firearm without seeing it first. Once the dros is started you can't return it if something is wrong with it. It has happened to me. Used a local ffl to buy from Buds. There was a bad crown on a rifle barrel. Had to refuse it. Buds took care of it.
