Optics for Ruger Precision Rifle

Taking a poll on which optics people have put on their RPR. So please if you haven't purchased one, please dont tell me what your favorite is. Scientific poll, dont want to skew the results.

put a Bushnell HDMR if your budget is in the 1K range. Vortex PST if sub-$1K, or a Vortex Razor Gen II or Kahles 624 if you want a $2-3K range optic

Nikon 6-24x50. Got it sighted in last weekend, very good optics for $650.

Look into the Burris XTR II line. For around $1000 street price, they are better in pretty much every way compared to similar offerings from Bushnell or Vortex.

Yeah the Burris xtr II is nice glass for the price. I had the 3-15x but got the bushnell ERS 3-21x and liked it better so I sold the Burris 3-15x. I did keep the Burris xtr II in 2-10x though and that one will remain on my semi .308.

I'm in. I bought a Burris XTR II 5-25. No rifle yet but that's the scope Ruger supplied all the reviewers /writers. Most I've ever spent on an "economy" scope.

I get the feeling this is the beginning of some weird form of Ruger Precision Rifle elitism.
Remember when Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle came out? That was weird, too.

This thread does reek of elitism. The OP asked a simple question:

He didn't ask what the best scope for a Ruger Precision Rifle would be, or even what scope he should put on his own Ruger Precision Rifle. He didn't ask for a recommendation of any kind. He simply wanted to know what types of scopes people who actually owned Ruger Precision Rifles were using.

The elitists couldn't handle it, and couldn't pass up the opportunity to call others "ignorant." So yes, there does seem to be a display of elitism surrounding the Ruger Precision Rifle, but I don't know if the elitists even own these guns.

So it's an RPR fan thread? Yeah, the question could make sense with "and what do you use it for?" tacked on, but it wasn't. The OP's later statement about the application being the rifle also makes no sense, unless you're buying a scope just for the sake of putting it on the rifle and nothing else.

So if there's no context, and no reason other than to just ask what people have installed... why not just look through the other RPR thread or do a google image search? Silly us for assuming the OP might get information more appropriate for his needs if he clarified things.
