Just purchased a white gold medallion in .270 win. Just looking for feedback on the xbolts accuracy and what owners have to say about them. My only worry stems from it being made in Japan.

Don't you know how the interwebs works? First you buy something, then show it off and ask for opinions. But you only accept positive opinions, and you bash anyone else who doesn't give you a positive opinion.
OP, whats the purpose of this rifle? For a hunting rig I'm sure it will be fine.Comment

Tough crowd
Wow, tough crowd!
Anyway, back to the OP's question. I had an a-bolt in .243 that I purchased used a couple years ago. Beautiful rifle! It was very accurate and the action was extremely smooth. Kinda wish I would have kept it, but I like to target practice and .243 was/is twice as expensive as .223. So I sold it and have bounced through a bunch of .223 bolts - howa, savage, mossberg, etc. Still haven't found something as nice and smooth as that Browning. Of course, I'm not spending $1,500 either.
I can't speak to the x-bolts, but I would assume they're as good if not better than the a-bolt.
Go shoot it and enjoy. Don't worry about opinions after the fact; you already bought it.Comment

I wouldn't worry about that. I don't have an xbolt, but I do have a couple Browning lever actions made in Japan. They're made just as good if not better than same model rifles made in USA.sigpic

I have one in 30-06. I have only shot it a few times, but it seems pretty good. Far from an expert though.WARNING: This post will most likely contain statements that are offensive to those who lack wit, humor, common sense, and or maturity.
