Hand cranked Gattling Gun

I was looking into a birthday/christmas gift for my father. He has pretty much every modern weapon he could ever want, so it has to be something unique. I was looking at the M249, but that isnt out yet. So now, im looking at either an M1919 A4 bundle, or one of the 45LC bulldog gattling guns. Theyre a couple grand apart in price, but that isnt the issue at this moment. The question is, i know that the M1919 is california legal, where as i dont know if the gattling gun is.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Yes, a true Gatling gun is CA legal. The kits that add a hand crank to a semi auto are illegal.

Wow, I can only imagine the dollar signs going by in shooting .45-70 at 1300 rounds per minute. Beautiful gun, definitely a work of art.

Under Federal and CA laws...

Gatling gun is considered a multi-barrel single-shot firearm.
As the hand crank is rotated... one cartridge is loaded into a barrel, cartridge is discharged, one cartridge is loaded into another barrel, cartridge is discharged, rinse & repeat.

"Gatling gun" conversions (semi-auto firearm modified with a hand crank) are illegal in CA due to having a "multiburst trigger activator".
