I understand the original military load was 220 gr round nose FMJ at 2000 FPS. Thanks! The forearm looks like Sporting Rifle forearm instead of a Carbine version. I am still learning about the 1895s, but mine is also a Carbine length barrel with a Sporting Rifle forearm.
