About 100 years left. Pretty normal for a well used Mosin. But a bore like that shouldn't have cost you a lot.
if it was a sniper, even more normal.Hobbies: bla, bla, bla... Bought a Mosin Nagant... Guns, Guns, Guns... -
The rifle was just a standard 91/30 from Big 5 for $100. I'm sorry, but can you please elaborate more on the bore on my rifle? is it really bad?Comment

I agree with Kygen, Counterboring is common for mosins. Look up a pic on Google and you can compare."The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny."

The barrel has been counterbored, which was a common means of re-establishing a clean crown when the bullet exits the barrel. My very first gun in the world (a VZ-24 Czech Mauser from Big5) was also counterbored and had a barrel that looked a lot like yours (pitting, smudged rifling) but it shot decently.
Looks like it's been sporterized, as evidenced by the cerakote and filed-down/cut-off front sight, so I imagine it's scoped. Please let us know how it shoots."Two dead?!? HOW?!?"

Agreed, that's what it looks like. Here's a picture of counterboring.
And here's an explanation of what that is and why it was done on some rifles. The 762x54.net site is great for looking up stuff on any sort of Mosin, BTW.
Mosin barrels, especially the Russian/Soviet ones, sometimes do have lots of pitting, especially if they weren't one of the "rearsenaled and stored in case of WWIII" rifles. That doesn't mean they won't be good shooters. Give it a little love with some Hoppe's and a copper brush, then see how it shoots. It might surprise you."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"

My first rifle was one of those $99 Big 5 special Mosin's. I thought I was a terrible shooter for the longest time and even sent my Simmon's scope back to Bushnell to be tested because I thought it was broken at one point. Gave up on the rifle entirely when I realize that it was grouping somewhere in the 12-15" range AT 25 YARDS. I wish I could say I was making it up as I didn't think it was possible but I'm not. Only way you are going to know is if you shoot it.sigpicComment
