    Ruger Compact Magnums.

Are the RCM's dying out? I see the rifles in those calibers seem to be getting clearanced for very cheap prices, might be a way to get my hands on a fancy-ish type model 77 for cheap.

I know the price of the ammo is high, but I have a limited reloading capability and seems like it'd make for a decent hunting rig. Any of you folks own one of these rifles? Opinions? Looking at the .300 and .338 RCM specifically for deer, pigs, and elk.

They are fine and ammo will be around for a while, but reloading will keep them alive. I would definitely buy one if found for a good price.

From what I understand is Mossberg has just introduced their newish Patriot rifle in .375 RCM. So I wouldn't think its dying out.

The .375 is most interesting to me since I already have a .300 Win Mag and a .300 Wthby. The .338 might also be of interest if the price was right, but I can always load a 200or 220 gr bullet in the .300 mags.

I saw some stainless Ruger model 77's in .338 for $499. seemed good. the .375's were there too but they were $599.

I have a SS 338RCM in a McM Sako Classic stock plus ammo, brass and dies.
It's great little package with a lot of power for the size/handiness. I'd be interested in selling it because I'm heavily invested in a custom 9.3x62 carbine that I love.

Kind of like Bruce Jenner, but the rifle still has a bolt.
