Can I import this SIG myself?

Hi,

I came across this Sig Sauer 200TR Match on the internet and found it on the German Sig website. Its not available in the USA and I am wondering if I can import this rifle myself.

it is a pain in the *** to get it imported. you will spend 3-4 times the value of the rifle easily. There is a customs house in Maryland that has done imports in the past. But first you have to convince Sauer Germany to sell it to you.

Can I import this SIG myself?

It's a ssg3000 receiver but with a European stock. I have a European stock for mine. It's laminated wood and very ergonomic. Call sig and see if they will get you a stock. It's only wood. Then you can get the diopter sights separately. New England custom maybe able to help you.

Barrel is pinched in - not threaded. Bolt locks into the barrel. There is a Norwegian gunsmith selling barrel adapters so it's easier to rebarrel. PacNor barrels is now selling adapters.

The STR is the same - Scandinavia target rifle.

The ssg3000 is now the patrol rifle and can be had for $1200 which is a steal. GRS stocks makes a similar or better stock. It comes with a fully adjustable two stage trigger - which cost about $400. Better than a huber trigger. Check them out at tikka performance.com
