.223 ammo availability?

What's happening to .223 ammo -- Is it available in good supply in NorCal?

The administration seeks to ban the .223 caliber according to this article:

Considering purchasing a .223 rifle but if ammo is in short supply & the caliber will be banned, it might not be a wise purchase.
