How fast can you run your bolt?

Came across this on another forum; just thought I'd share. Reminds me of Enfields and the mad minute, but with a bit more awesome.

Apparently it's called (I think) the:

Title is: Norwegia Zawody Strzeleckie 2007 HIT

    1. I wish I could shoot a bolt gun that fast, with that level of accuracy.
    2. I wish all competition shooting events had the same level of joy and fanfare.
    3. I wish I could understand Norwegian (but I still watched almost all of it.)

    Sorry if it's a repost...

Don't be. It's always fun to watch it, and it needs to be reposted periodically for the new people.

I never tire of watching it. So much so that I tried something similar at the Sac Valley steel range, shooting on the turkeys at 385 meters. Click on the picture to see the video.

Here is how its done with a right bolt right port single shot. No clip no magazine no semi auto.

            That's good, but stationary target?

Try it with targets running at full speed.

            Sorry, not sorry.

My 16 yr old daughter isn't as fast as in the first videos (She's as fast as the guy in the bore hunt video), but she can work the bolt on her Savage 10TR in a manner that you'd think she was operating an Enfield. I can't even work it that fast. She's accurate too. She doesn't grip the bolt, she "palms" it.

Although its a bolt action, its a cheating action. Almost straight back. Last time I checked, I think the gun was starting at 9000 dollars. haha. Fast and good skills though!

Space gun? I wouldn't call that fast bolt action shooting. It's basically sitting on a clamped down leadsled weighting 100lbs zeroed to 1000 yards. I think anyone can fling ammo out there like that.

I think I made a video shooting a mosin years back...Gotta look for it.

Maybe you thought it was a sig blaser straight pull? Those can be had for about $3,500 or something like that...

                        I do that.

I explain it to people as a Benny Hill "salute". Palm up to your eyebrow, turn your hand over at your eyebrow, palm the bolt forward and down.

Something to shoot for - pun intended

Wish I was this fast (& accurate)...

I started doing that when I saw her do it. Works real well on the way oversized bolt handle on the savage. I can't do it with a smaller bolt handle, my hands are too big. Her hands are smaller, so she can do it with any bolt handle that has stippling on it. VERY fast way to work the clunky action on the savage.
