Why can't Henry add a side loading gate!!!! I'd buy one in a second flat if they did.

Another issue with the 357 Winchesters in particular is wearing of the cartridge cut-off area on the finger lever (AKA "the lever"). When the lever is cycled, the cut off stops the next round in line from jamming up with the one on the carrier. It's higher because the 38/357 round is smaller in diameter than the 30 WCF etc, and it needs to protrude to catch the rim of the shell in the mag and stop it from double feeding. When it wears, a new lever is the right fix. They are no longer in production and spotty on the new/used parts market. Midwest Gun Works rebuilds them for $150 plus. New replacement levers, when available, are $125 plus. Right now MGW has some in stock. Last year this time they had none.

How much shooting do You think it would take for this to happen?

I don't know, some may last forever and some may wear quickly, but it is common enough for MGW to offer the service. I might be wrong about the price the last one I did was over a year ago. Call Gino at Midwest for more info.
All things considered , I would pop for the extra amount to get the Browning B 92 if you can find one and be done with it. You wont be disappointed. The sting of the money spent will wear off some day.

I've owned probably 20 94s over the years and have some still and they are great, the just aren't great as a pistol caliber.
I have a Winchester 94AE Trapper in 45 L.C. that has had at least three thousand rounds thru it with out any problems at all. It is one of the early ones Winchester made in that caliber. No crossbolt safety, and has a nice color case finish on the frame and high luster blue barrel.
              Maybe the .357 has a problem in the 94, I don't know.

To this date ALL pistol caliber 94's are made in US.

Better yet, why can't they do both. Rossi does it with the Casull

Marlins are full frame. A full frame allows rifle scope. Full frame means stronger frame in my book.
My book also claims Winchesters are strong enough, don't need rifle scope on lever rifle, and Winchesters handle better than Marlins due to World-According-To-Me standards.

But the number #1 reason Winchesters are better is because John Wayne never used a Marlin. Now that is a television fact, Jack.

I saw this gun a few months ago on GB. I'd like to have a 92 to go with it, If I had a 73

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. This is a Winchester made in Japan, sent to the Trunbull factory and sold by Navy Arms..

If you're not the owner, ASK the owner to read or supply a photo of the roll marks on the barrel.

When did Miroku make a 94 in 357?
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Win 94AE .357 16" rifle, WITH CROSS-BOLT SAFETY. AFAIK Wins w/cross-bolt safety were USA made by USRA after being bought by FN. I have a USA manufactured WIN 94AE w/cross-bolt safety S/N 632XXXX. Miroku made Winchesters have a tang safety

There was a few tang safety guns Made in USA. I remember looking at the. At big 5. My personal favorite is the 92 and the newest Rossi's seem to be excellent but the price jumped $100 about a year ago. My newest Rossi 92 is the nicest and slickest 357 mag/38 sp lever gun I've owned. The rest are now gone.

Just curious, but did you have any work done on the Rossi to slick it up, or is it pretty much stock?
