If you expect anyone to help you, you need to post a little more information. Winchester made a couple of box fed lever guns. A model 88 which is box fed and a 1895 which is box fed ( but wasn't chambered in 308 Winchester).
I would be assuming you may be referring to a model 88, which was made in 308 Winchester, but the model 88 was discontinued by winchester in 1973, not 1977. -
be sure it has a mag or 2 as that is the hard to get part.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Depending what features that Model 88 has will call a fair price. Does it have the nice finished stock? Is the front sight protected by a hood? How's the overall finish?
$900 is a fair asking price for the nicer model if it's in 90+ % condition.The wise man said just find your place
