Handi Rifle / Pardner accessory barrel program closes

Over on Graybeard forum and Marlin Owners forum the dedicated H&R subforums have threads since November as Remington closes down the add on multiple barrel program. Latest I've read there is that the main H&R repair guy at Remington is saying probably will run out of the barrels around March/April. When they're gone, the program will close.

Many popular calibers already gone: 30-30, 20 gauge screw in choke, 357 mag, 44 mag. But lots other calibers/gauges remain.

I was literally thinking the other day about picking one up for cheap and sending it in for a bunch of fun calibers. I guess not now.

Bad news indeed. The barrel accessory program was a good deal and very popular. I've used it twice and now have 4 bbls for my two receivers (.308 Win, .30-30, .45-70, and .500 S&W Mag).

GunDog, how do you like the .500S&W? Sounds like a lot of fun, I mean a 700 grain bullet! A cheap way to own a cannon/rifle is to add one of those 500 barrels, seems to me!

If you have had a replacement barrel accessory added to your Handi-Rifle, Topper shotgun, or Buffalo Classic, it was almost certainly installed by Brian, (forgot his last name).
