These are a lot of fun to shoot. The lack of stock is not really a problem with the pad and 9mm. You just rest your cheek on the pad and aim normally. Not sure how a 223 feels, but I can't imagine its too bad.

.223 aint too bad, just dont be too close with your nose to the CH (if you run a tactical latch :P)

After a 5 minute makeover:

Did you mount that stock saddle right over the foam, or remove the foam? How did you tighten it up so that it doesn't move/rotate when you rest your cheek on it?
Was thinking about getting a stock saddle myself but didn't know how tight and/or immovable it would be.

Sold my 9mm AR Pistol today, building another one in 223, picks coming soon...

Loved the 9mm AR Pistol. Just enjoy building them and trying new things out more than hanging onto them.

My gun collection got pretty huge for a while there. Then the economy turned and I had to find ways to do more with less. That meant selling off old projects to pay for new projects.

TacticalCity.com is doing great, but the day job not so much. I'm just not ready to walk away from the day job yet. Love those benefits.

Of course, trading in the Mitsubishi for a Lexus didn't help any.

For me, it's about keeping busy more than anything else. If I don't have at least one build going on, I don't know what to do with myself.

I currently have 2 builds under way. The new "pistol" will be a CQBR clone but with a pistol buffer tube. All I have so far is the Pistol Buffer Tube Kit, the CMMG LPK, the LMT Rear Sight and the KAC forend. I have an LMT SOPMOD stock kit as well, but I can't legally put it on there so I used it on my M4gery.

The new rifle will be an SR-25 clone. All I have so far is the complete lower and magazines. My lower is DPMS compatible rather than Armalite compatible so finding the right upper has been challenging. Sure there are uppers available, but they are not exactly what I am looking for. Hopefully CMMG will get around to making .308 uppers like they have planning to do for a while now. I like CMMG a lot and they say their uppers will be very similar to the SR-25 and that they will allow for lots of different upgrades.

I still have a CMMG M4gery, but of course I am selling it off as well. It's currently up on the Calguns.net FIREARMS FOR SALE board.

I am not sure what MonkeeBoi is asking, but this forend is the Vltor CASV-EL. Lots of guys on here used them on their pistol builds. I'm not the biggest fan of this forend, but lots of people love 'em.

yea i here ya brother NorCalBRG has been doing good i guess since everyone else been saying they are slow so i cant complain and the bad part is i havent been ordering anything since i stock most stuff except the higher end big dollar items like 557's and etc.... my day job has basically been taking up all my time since its my bread and butter and plus i have a baby due anyday now so time is a minimum at the current momment. But im glad your doing good I like seeing people suceed at doing their own business cause all that does is shows that our little so call recession is nothing.

But yea i have some many projects going it not even funny i got rid of a few rifles and projects already and i still seem to be overwhem in them lol currently I'm doing the few things simular to yours

1) 9mm CMMG pistol (I got their new quad rail on it) and its really nice its free float and has its on independent locknut that is not a pita to take off or install like most rails these days.

2) 223 pistol that Im trying to descide if i want to get the POF SBR upper or the PWS diablo or just put one together with a side charger from AArmory

3) I have 2 seperate SBR im working on a White Oak Armory 18" on a LMT receiver with a larue 13 in rail. and a Saber Defense one Im going to be trading my AR10 for

so yea i been piecing everything here and there slowly to make sure i get all the parts i want so i dont break my pocket since the baby is on the way ..


oo and I forgot i have 2 ak's im working on too AK pistol and another Romy kit those has been sitting on the back burner for a while now tho
